Client Overview

Be the Business is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, with a single goal that’s crucial to the health of the UK’s economy: to help business owners and leaders improve the performance of their business.

Partnering with some of the UK’s most successful large corporates and backed by the UK Government, they provide small business leaders with the support, resources, and guidance they need to thrive.

Project Scope

As their offering expanded and diversified, Be the Business faced a significant challenge with their existing visual identity. It had become difficult to use and was no longer practical or sufficiently flexible for application across the increasingly wide range of marketing collateral, events, and programmes they offer to diverse audience groups.

Realising the importance of a strong and adaptable visual identity, Be the Business sought our expertise to revitalise their brand and equip their internal Marketing and Communications team with a comprehensive, easy-to-implement brand toolkit.

Visual Identity

To revitalise the Be the Business visual identity and align it with evolving needs, we began by gaining a clear understanding of the needs and expectations of three main audience groups: large corporate partners, UK small business leaders, and the UK Government. A detailed audit of the existing brand followed, which identified strengths to build on and areas for review.

Armed with this knowledge, we crafted a versatile visual identity that we effectively applied across flagship annual reporting, digital campaigns, core programme support materials, and live event design. Across touchpoints, our priority was to capture and reflect the deep expertise, boundless energy and unwavering passion evidenced by individuals and organisations in support of the Be the Business mission.

Results and Impact

Our partnership with Be the Business led to a successful and celebrated new identity whose vibrancy may be effectively dialled up and down to suit specific applications, audiences and environments.

We have since been retained by Be the Business as an ongoing creative resource and to fulfil the role of Brand Steward, ensuring that Be the Business maintains a consistent image and stays on message. We hope this speaks volumes.
